First-Year Fall Retreat

Welcome to UT PGE

The Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering hosts the annual First-Year Fall Retreat to welcome new students to campus and the UT PGE community. Attendance is required.

At the retreat, we introduce all incoming fall-semester students, including freshmen and transfers, to Longhorn spirit and pride and help you make connections with classmates, UT PGE faculty and staff, and industry representatives. And, of course, it’s a chance to have fun before the start of fall classes!

What to Expect

  • Meet classmates, alumni, staff and faculty from the UT PGE department
  • A panel presentation with guest alumni speakers
  • Play games and participate in team-building activities
  • Take home department swag, including a free t-shirt!
