About
Hewei Tang is an assistant professor in the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. Before joining the UT PGE faculty in 2024, she was a staff scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Tang serves as executive editor of Geoenergy Science and Engineering (formerly known as the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering) and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) program committee.
Her research interests include data assimilation, uncertainty quantification and deep learning-based surrogate modeling for subsurface multiphase flow.
