Wen Song holds the Anadarko Petroleum Corporation Centennial Fellowship #1 in Petroleum Engineering. Her research focuses on elucidating the micro/nanoscale reactive transport processes within porous geomaterials that fundamentally control the management of energy and environmental resources. Specifically, her group develops unique operando visualization platforms that enable imaging of dynamic fluid-solid interactions at interfacial, pore, and pore-ensemble scales. She is a recipient of the NSF CAREER and the ACS PRF DNI Awards. Song joined the department as an assistant professor in January 2019 after earning her Ph.D. in Energy Resources Engineering and Ph.D. minor in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in January 2019.
