UT PGE undergraduates learn from world-class faculty, including three members of the National Academy of Engineering. Students take part in high-caliber energy research that prepares them for careers leading the global transition to a sustainable energy future. In addition, undergraduates participate in hands-on energy case study competitions, AI hackathons, and top professional conferences and paper competitions. They connect with industry leaders and innovators through the Hildebrand Department's Professors of Practice, Alumni in Residence and Workforce Initiative programs.

The University of Texas at Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering ranks No. 10 among the nation’s engineering schools, with its aerospace, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, mechanical and software engineering undergraduate programs all ranking in the top 16.
