About
Quoc Nguyen joined the faculty of The University of Texas at Austin in 2005 as an assistant professor at the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum & Geosystems Engineering
He served as the Foundation CMG Industrial Research Chair in Reservoir Engineering from 2010 to 2017 and as a visiting professor at Rice University from 2011 to 2015. He holds a Ph.D. in petroleum engineering from Delft University.
Nguyen’s research focuses on geosystems engineering with applications in conformance control, production stimulation, enhanced hydrocarbon recovery, unconventional resources and carbon storage. He has published more than 220 journal articles and has taught and consulted for industry and professional societies worldwide.
