With internationally recognized research faculty who are also incredible teachers, the department offers students the opportunity to explore not just traditional oil and gas but also emerging critical fields like geothermal, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen storage, lithium and rare earth elements, methane emissions mitigation, and energy AI and data analytics. When they graduate, our students are prepared to work in a variety of energy fields and have the technical and critical thinking skills necessary to become industry innovators and leaders.
